• Hip Arthroscopy in American Hip Institute
    Hip Arthroscopy
Hip arthroscopy is one of the most cutting-edge areas of orthopedic surgery. The development of highly specialized procedures in hip arthroscopy over the last few years created new options for patients with hip pain, hip injuries, and early arthritis of the hip. These procedures allow athletes to return to their sport, allow workers to return to work, and often prevent or delay the need for joint replacement.
  • Robotic Hip Replacement in American Hip Institute
    Robotic Hip Replacement
Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology for total hip replacement
Each patient is unique, and can experience joint pain for different reasons. It’s important to talk to us about the reason for your hip pain so you can understand the treatment options available to you.
  • Outpatient Anterior Approach Hip Replacement in American Hip Institute
    Outpatient Anterior Approach Hip Replacement
The Direct Anterior Approach is a minimally invasive form of total hip replacement where the incision lies on the front of the thigh. The anterior approach is considered a tissue sparing surgery with an incision generally less than 8cm. The acetabular cup and femoral stem implants are inserted through this incision either under X-ray or Computer Navigated, Robotic guidance (MAKOplasty).
  • Hip Resurfacing in American Hip Institute
    Hip Resurfacing
Hip resurfacing is an alternative surgical procedure to hip replacement for many active patients. Hip resurfacing differs from a hip replacement in that the femoral head and neck are not removed and replaced with synthetic parts. In hip resurfacing, the worn surfaces of the femoral head and acetabulum are smoothed out, and covered with metal bearing surfaces. This allows greater conservation of the patient’s bones.
  • Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine <in></in> American Hip Institute
    Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative Medicine is an exciting new field in medicine that treats injuries by harnessing your body’s own regenerative capabilities. When tissues such as ligaments, tendons, cartilage, and muscles are injured, your body uses its own healing ability to rebuild the damaged tissue. Most of the healing factors and important nutrients that are needed for repairing the tissue are brought to the site of injury through your blood vessels.
